meet ms agaton
Was meandering the internet recently and came across Lotta Agaton - Swedish interior stylist and sometime Residence magazine editor, needless to say I wouldn't be complaining if I found myself living in one of the chic relaxed spaces that she puts together.
Best of both worlds Lotta isn't just a woman of style she's a woman of substance - check out her blog here.

karen walker/megan mullally's hollywood haven
So whilst it's definitely not Karen Walker's (Will & Grace) house (note the lack of martini glasses and not a bar in sight), the woman behind the character, Megan Mullally, boasts some serious style at home. Love these pics of her house from Elle Decor.

unfiled: rainbow bookcases
First up - Unfiled is what I'm calling my attempt to organise the stacks and stacks of pics that have made their way into my 'great ideas' folder not to be touched again until now. Unfortunately that means I've lost all the sources, so feel free to comment any ones you know and I'll update it.
Second point - this, clearly being the first post in the 'unfiled series', is the one that stuck out the most in the collection of pics.. I have a ridiculous obsession with good looking bookcases, preferably organised by colour (my housemates think it's a bit freaky and obsessive compulsive). But when you look at these piccies, try and tell me you wouldn't want a rainbow bookcase in your place?

massucco warner miller
Dear future self...
When you are living in LA, San Fran or Seattle, look up Massucco Warner Miller, and have them work some magic on your house. Whether it's a bold pattern, a fab headboard or the right mix of glam / modern / traditional, I'm 99.99% certain one of the three designers will get it right.

eric 'mixmaster' cohler
Dear 'mixmaster' cohler,
There's a lot of people doing the traditional meets modern infusion these days, few do it well in my very unimportant opinion. You are an exception.

sally wheat
Dear grown up grunge lovers,
So I definitely got into the torn jeans and daggy shirts, Nirvana blaring on the stereo, but at some point you grow out of the grunge right? Sally Wheat for me is grown-up-high-class-grunge... about now I imagine you're saying what the..? Hear me out, Sally takes an otherwise grungy colour palette (blacks, greys, browns), uses it sparingly with a healthy dose of white, adds an assortment of edgy pieces and voila grown up grunge. Maybe I'm stretching it... I still love her work.. so there.

sixx design
Dear Cortney & Robert Novogratz aka Sixx Design,
It ain't a hotel, it is close to a bungalow, so can you come do what you did to the Bungalow Hotel to my little bungalow? Love the use of the B&W and splashes of colour.
Anyone reading, do yourself a favour and check out their portfolio.

pynn it up
Dear Pure Design & Style at Home-r's,
How long have you been hiding Samantha Pynn? Over here in Aus I've only just discovered her work and she's a woman after my own heart. Some fave snaps of mine from her portfolio above... there's always something bold but relaxed about her style. Lovely.

mr over achiever
Dear fellow young twenty-something under achievers,
At just 25 Ryan Korban has built himself quite a rep, and it's deserved too, the guy is extremely talented and above are some of my fave snaps of his work from his online portfolio. So having built himself his own business, a cult following in NYC, it would not be unusual to feel like an under achiever if like me you're only a couple years behind Ryan.. time to work!

shabby chic
Dear anyone who has ever tried to do shabby chic and missed the target,
Meet Rachel Ashwell, founder of Shabby Chic (and master of the style). Lonny Mag this month did a massive spread on the decorator/mother/businesswoman/designer, which I am sure had a few cats curious... visit Shabby Chic to find out more about the range and see Ashwell's work.

august lonny
Dear Lonny,
I didn't need a half day distraction of 100+ pages to put me in an envious mood over the likes of Rachel Ashwell (above upper), Ryan Korban (above lower left) & Flair New York (above lower right).. Thanks though.
